Battle of the States

Battle of the State is an Australia-wide sprint competition held annually, where dogs get two chances to run down a 100m chute chasing a lure as fast as they can. The best of their two times is recorded and the results go up against other dogs in their category across the country. Our Australian Laikas are in the ‘Unregistered Medium’ category, and we compete through our Lure Coursing club ‘Lure Coursers Anonymous.’

2023 results:

Rogue - 8.86 seconds (fastest Unregistered Medium in WA)

Xyl - 15.28 seconds (fastest Alaskan Malamute in WA)

2024 results:

Rogue - 9.12 seconds

Nylah - 9.47 seconds

Itahni - 10.10 seconds

Xyl - 10.81 seconds
